Three Suspects At Large After Victim Knocked Unconscious During Long Island Robbery

Three suspects attacked a 41-year-old victim on Long Island, knocking him unconscious and robbing him, police said.

The victim was walking in New Cassel, on Prospect Street near the intersection of State Street, according to a Nassau County Police spokesperson, when he was approached by an unknown Black man at approximately 10 p.m. on Friday, March 19.

Police said that at the same time he was approached, he was grabbed from behind by two unknown suspects, while the first man punched him in the face, knocking him to the ground, where he lost consciousness.

When he woke, police said that the man’s cellphone had been taken, and an undisclosed amount of money was missing. The three suspects fled in an unknown direction.

The man was assisted by several Good Samaritans until a relative arrived to take him to a nearby hospital for treatment of a lacerated lip and alert police.

According to investigators, the first suspect has been described as being approximately 30 years old, and he was wearing a gray sweatshirt and red mask at the time of the robbery.

No description of the other two suspects has been released.
